About Joan

Singer/songwriter Joan Patrick has been singing and recording for almost 30 years. She has written and produced several albums of her own work under the name of “beingjoan” which was well received and widely played on radio.

Previous projects

As well as working and recording with many others artists over the years, she worked closely with Glasgow musician Paul Piacentini and their band the Babes building an extensive body of recordings.

Joan is also working with Francis and Jacqui McFaul and son Jack Piacentini in the band FM. She was very excited to join The Scottish Pink Floyd as backing singer in 2021.

"A Dream Come True"

She has been a huge fan of Pink Floyd since her early teens, and says it’s like a dream come true to work with the SPF. Joan has performed all over the country, including Celtic Connections festivals, prisons and churches.

Annual Performance

She performs annually in her old home town of Strathaven
at their Gala day and Balloon Festival.
